Accelerating the shift to sustainability by harnessing the power of kelp

Home

Kelp has been used for hundreds, if not thousands, of years to feed crops, animals, and humans. These simple uses have withstood the test of time, but with today’s knowledge and technology, even more uses for kelp are being uncovered.

We isolate the most valuable compounds and transform them into products beneficial to the environment and climate

Our products contribute significantly to:

Home

CROP & PLANT HEALTH

Liquid extracts or “biostimulants” increase crop resilience, allowing farmers to drastically reduce the use of synthetic fertilizers.

Home

HUMAN HEALTH

Fucoidans and fucoxanthins, with their anti-oxidant and anti-cancerous properties, are an effective ingredient for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmeceutical industry.

Home

PLANET HEALTH

Alginates, which are only found in brown seaweed, are the cornerstone input for biodegradable films and packaging, allowing for less reliance on plastic. They are also input materials for seaweed based textiles.

Home

ANIMAL HEALTH

Lipids, proteins, sugars and the overall effect of the seaweed on animal gut health make it a perfect animal feed supplement—allowing farmers to use fewer antibiotics.

What makes us different?

We use only cultivated kelp

leaving the wild kelp beds to flourish

We use Macrocystis Pyrifera

commonly known as giant kelp, sourced from our sister company Kelp Blue

We deliver at scale

and can guarantee a sustainable and steady supply of products

We employ a biorefinery,

or zero waste approach, where we apply processing methods that use every component of the harvested material

We invest in developing patented, clean,

green seaweed processing technology and are continuously deepening our knowledge through research and partnerships

At full capacity, we expect to harvest 150 tonnes of giant kelp per hectare per year
